What do I need for online classes?


For an Iyengar Yoga practice at home, the ideal setup includes:

​

  • One yoga mat

  • A free wall

  • One yoga belt

  • Two yoga blocks

  • One bolster

  • Three to four thick, Mexican-style blankets

  • A yoga chair
     

However, it’s perfectly fine to start with just a yoga mat and whatever you have at home, such as a shawl instead of a yoga belt, a regular chair, or folded blankets. Props can be gradually added as your practice develops.

Yoga props are a one-time investment that support safe and effective practice, allowing you to explore poses fully and enjoy the benefits of Iyengar Yoga in your own home.
